The best part about stamps is they allow you to create DIY projects without any special computer software or fancy craft products. RubberStamps.com offers a bevy of creative DIY project ideas on their blog to get you started. I especially love their DIY popcorn favors that are so easy to make using a stamp.
You only need a few items to create these DIY monogram bandanas:
- Stamp from RubberStamps.com
- Bandanas
- Fabric Paint
- Paint Brushes
The first step to create these monogram bandanas is to apply paint to your stamp. I chose to use two colors of fabric paint for my monograms. Carefully paint the back of your stamp using a thin brush. You want to make sure to only paint the areas you would like an impression of.
These DIY monogram bandanas look super cute tied around the neck and you want your monogram to fall correctly. To achieve the design you want to place your stamp on one corner. I highly suggest practicing on paper or scrap material first as once you place the fabric paint on your bandana there is no going back! Once you are confident, firmly place your stamp on the corner of your bandana.
Remove your stamp to reveal your design. What I love about stamping fabric is it gives it a soft, delicate impression. A look you would not achieve if you hand painted these monograms.
Leave your bandanas to dry for about 10-15 minutes and your bridesmaid gift is complete! Thanks to RubberStamps.com these DIY monogram bandanas could not be easier to make and are a very budget friendly bridesmaid gift idea! You can even gift the stamp to your bridesmaid along with the bandana so they can continue to use their monogram stamp on other items.
So after seeing just how easy it is to make this DIY bridesmaid gift – what are you waiting for? Start customizing your wedding today at RubberStamps.com!
